Leylandii Removal
I hired a local tree removal company to fell the tree. It was cheaper for them to leave the remnants of the tree for me to dispose of. In hindsight this would have been the more convenient option given the lengh of time it took me to dispose of the remaining branches.

The tree roots were pretty deep so had to excavate down a few feet to get under the roots. The gold colour is from the sand layer I reached while removing the stumps.
After this the area was levelled to match the rest of the garden.

The removal of the trees really helped to open up the bottom of the garden. Bringing in light to the bottom of the garden and opened up opportunities for further garden projects.
